With extensive experience in international business management, Ms. Kammann has been linked for much of her career to the company Faust y Kammann, founded in 1909 in Barcelona by Wilhelm Kammann and Carl Faust. The company, initially dedicated to the installation of heating systems and water pumps, was one of the pioneers in technology applied to the home and industry during the second industrial revolution. This stage allowed Faust to accumulate the resources needed to create the Marimurtra Botanical Garden in Blanes.
With the incorporation of Yvonne Kammann, the Board strengthens the historical ties with the founder’s origins, both from a business and human point of view. The entry of a representative of Faust y Kammann closes a symbolic circle with Carl Faust’s past and projects his vision towards the future, in line with the values of internationalisation and commitment that have always defined the Foundation.
During her first official visit to Marimurtra as a trustee, Ms. Kammann received from the president of the Board, Cristòfol Jordà, the silver key ring, the highest distinction awarded by the Carl Faust Foundation. This insignia represents the recognition of those who have shown outstanding commitment to the values, mission and continuity of the project initiated by Faust.
This new incorporation maintains compliance with the bylaws regarding the representation of various nationalities within the Board, especially the German, which according to Faust’s wishes must always be present on the board of the Foundation he created in 1952 to continue his dream of contributing to science and botany through the Marimurtra Botanical Garden.
