At Marimurtra, the professional use of drones is only permitted and always with prior authorisation. To apply for a permit, you must visit https://marimurtra.cat/us-de-drons/, complete the corresponding application form, provide the required documentation, accept the terms and conditions of use, and make a €50 payment for the drone permit at the time of booking.

Payment does not imply automatic authorisation to fly the drone. Drone use will only be permitted once the application form has been correctly completed and the express authorisation of the Management of Marimurtra Botanical Garden has been obtained. If this authorisation has not been granted, the Carl Faust Foundation reserves the right to prevent the activity from taking place and to take any legal action it deems appropriate in response to any unauthorised use of its facilities.
The applicant must provide:
  • An official drone pilot licence or certificate issued or recognised by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA).
  • Proof of valid public liability insurance.
  • Any other documentation specified in the application form.

Cancellations: If the applicant cancels the drone service, only 50% of the amount paid will be refunded, i.e. €25.

Data protection and image rights: It is not permitted to record identified or identifiable individuals without the corresponding authorisations and legal basis.
At Marimurtra, it is strictly prohibited to operate drones during opening hours or in areas open to the public without the corresponding specific authorisation.
