The Carl Faust Foundation celebrated today, April 24th, the traditional tribute to Carl Faust, founder of the Marimurtra Botanical Garden, with a day that brought together employees, Foundation trustees, and institutional and educational representatives from the municipality.
The event began with an offering of roses at his grave in the Blanes cemetery, carried out by all the employees of the Marimurtra Botanical Garden and several trustees of the Carl Faust Foundation, in memory and recognition of its founder.
The day culminated with an institutional floral offering, with the participation of the Mayor of Blanes, Jordi Hernández, representatives of the municipal political groups, and students from the Carles Faust school, who joined -as they do every year- in this moving and symbolic tribute.
During the ceremony, the president of the Carl Faust Foundation, Cristòfol Jordà, highlighted the organization’s desire to “consolidate the Garden’s work just as its founder conceived it,” reaffirming the commitment to preserving and promoting Faust’s scientific, cultural, and landscape legacy.
With this commemoration, the Carl Faust Foundation claims Carl Faust as a key figure for the natural and scientific heritage of the municipality and the country, keeping his spirit and memory alive.
