Marimurtríssim triumphs with a great public response and all activities fully booked

The Marimurtríssim Botanical Family Festival has closed its third edition with a resounding success at the Marimurtra Botanical Garden, establishing itself as one of the leading family and tourism events on the Costa Brava. The day was marked by a large turnout, an excellent response from attendees, and a full house for all scheduled workshops.

The children’s activities reached full capacity and were very well received, both by the registered families and by those who, while visiting the Garden, decided to spontaneously enjoy the gastronomic corners, the market, or the live plant market. This flexibility has allowed the festival to broaden its reach and reinforce its open and inclusive character.

The Biodiversity Corner workshops, featuring the construction of nest boxes, insect hotels, and bird feeders, were both hands-on and educational, combining learning and fun. Participants delved into the world of botany through experimentation. Additionally, they were able to take home the objects they created, turning the experience into a tangible and educational memory that strengthens the connection with nature.

The two novelties of this year, the chocolate and flowers workshop and the vegetable cheese workshop — led by instructor Anna Colomer (Debosc) — were a huge hit, and children enjoyed making chocolate balls decorated with flowers and delicious vegan cheeses.

The gastronomic area was also one of the highlights of the day, with a large flow of visitors wanting to try the various offerings, such as empanadas, pasta, sweets, and artisan beer from Blanes. This space became a lively and dynamic meeting point throughout the day.

In addition to the nursery area with plant sales, visitors also enjoyed a small market with local stalls featuring sustainable products.

Aside from those who had purchased the specific ticket, which includes a morning activity, a guided tour, and an autonomous scavenger hunt, the festival also saw participation from the more than one thousand people who visited the Marimurtra Botanical Garden today. In this sense, the festival reinforces its mission to be a Garden accessible to everyone, offering its proposals to all its visitors.

While it is always a good time to visit the Marimurtra Botanical Garden, today was an especially vibrant day, with a festive atmosphere that highlighted its natural richness and its potential as a space for education and family activities.

As a closing event, everyone who submitted their entry form at Marimurtríssim entered a raffle for a hamper of Marimurtra products and a family pass to visit Marimurtra all year round—a detail that helped round off a day defined by participation.

Following this success, the organization is already working on preparing the fourth edition of Marimurtríssim, with the goal of continuing to grow and offering new experiences that connect families with botany and nature.

The Marimurtríssim botanical family festival is made possible thanks to the support of several local sponsors committed to nature, sustainability, and the promotion of the territory: Lampisteria Roser, Muralla òptica, Taller Moles, Construccions i reformes Valentín Sojo, and Arts gràfiques Roure, as well as the collaboration of Gestió Natural and Llavors Batlle.
