The Marimurtra Botanical Garden has hosted the launch of the third edition of the Garden of Epicurus magazine, an annual publication that brings together scientific and outreach articles produced throughout 2024 by people connected to the garden: from the professional team to collaborators and trustees of the Carl Faust Foundation.
With a deep and thoughtful approach, the magazine offers a look at the knowledge and results generated or linked to this Epicurean space founded a century ago by the German entrepreneur Carl Faust. This year’s edition combines scientific and outreach articles with the aim of making botanical and scientific knowledge accessible to all and highlights the social impact of contemporary science.
Through its contents, Garden of Epicurus reflects the evolution of the Marimurtra Botanical Garden and its ability to adapt to the challenges and changes of modern society. The magazine thus becomes a bridge between Faust’s legacy and its present-day relevance as a space for research, outreach, and critical thinking.
With this third edition, Marimurtra reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of knowledge and its active role as a living garden in constant evolution, true to the visionary spirit of its founder.
The magazine is part of the Edicions de Marimurtra project, the garden’s own publishing label, which promotes the creation and dissemination of scientific and cultural content linked to Marimurtra.
