Marimurtra offers an exclusive visit to unpublished places and snorkeling sessions as part of its summer activities

These activities are aimed at all audiences and allow you to discover life under the sea and botany from a unique perspective

The Marimurtra Botanical Garden in Blanes is launching two exclusive activities this summer to complement the offer that the Garden has throughout the year. One is the Horabaixa visit and the other is the Botanical Snorkel, and both have the aim of bringing botany and underwater life closer to all audiences.

The Horabaixa, which starts today and will run every Thursday in July and August, is an exclusive guided tour that will allow visitors to discover Marimurtra from a unique perspective and get to know -accompanied by a Garden guide- some area that is not usually visitable. The tour is carried out by a small group of 20 people, who have the opportunity to enjoy this unprecedented visit outside the opening hours of the Garden and, therefore, have the entire Garden to themselves. The Horabaixa lasts one hour, from 7 to 8 p.m.

On the other hand, the Garden does not end at its spectacular cliffs and the plant life continues underwater with as much exuberance and splendor as it does above. That is why, during the month of August, Marimurtra offers the Botanical Snorkel, a combined activity that includes a guided snorkeling session and an entrance ticket to visit the Marimurtra Botanical Garden during 2024. With the Botanical Snorkel you can discover the marine world and, especially, that of algae and underwater plants: how to distinguish them, classify them and see their extraordinary value.

This is a visit to share with the family and discover life under the sea, enjoying the Marimurtra Botanical Garden and the Mediterranean Sea in a different way. The Botanical Snorkel will take place every Thursday in August, from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning, in Cala de Sant Francesc de Blanes. It is aimed at all audiences, from 8 years old, and children must be accompanied by an adult. To do the activity you must have basic swimming skills. The activity will be carried out by experienced guides who will provide all kinds of protection and safety equipment, in small groups of 12 people.
