Marimurtra Botanical Garden has officially become a cardio-protected territory with the installation of an automated external defibrillator (AED) at the entrance to the grounds, next to the ticket office. This action is part of the Carl Faust Foundation’s ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of all visitors.
The implementation of this equipment has been complemented by a training program aimed at all the Garden’s staff, who participated in a theoretical and practical session led by a specialized trainer. This training ensures an agile and appropriate response to potential cardiac emergency situations.
Marimurtra Botanical Garden becomes a cardio-protected territory and reinforces safety for its visitors
With this initiative, Marimurtra Botanical Garden preventively reinforces the quality standards of the service it offers, incorporating specific measures to improve safety within the grounds. This is a significant step in terms of institutional responsibility, especially considering that in 2025 the Garden recorded an attendance of 235,000 visitors.
The commissioning of the AED also coincides with the start of Easter, one of the periods of maximum visitor influx, and contributes to consolidating Marimurtra as a safe, prepared space committed to the comprehensive care of its visitors.
