Internship at Marimurtra Botanical Garden

The Marimurtra Botanical Garden is an ideal place to carry out training practices that allow you to learn, learn and deepen the gardening techniques needed to care for plants in very different climatic zones, from subtropical, humid or desert, to the Mediterranean, passing through those of temperate climate. Therefore, the Marimurtra Botanical Garden is always open to receive students who want to take advantage of this opportunity to do their academic internships.
Conditions of the internship
  • Maximum number of students: 6 simultaneously
  • Minimum stay: 2 weeks
  • Maximum stay: 1 course
  • Academic level: Gardening course, intermediate degree, higher degree, university studies (biology, environment or equivalent)
Requirements
1) Academic agreement with the student’s home school. This agreement must establish data such as:
  • Start date and end date
  • Length of stay
  • Unpaid internships
  • Compulsory school insurance
  • Tutors at the home center and the Marimurtra Botanical Garden
  • Academic recognition of internships
  • Other information that the center deems appropriate.

2) This agreement can be made with a model document provided by the center or, failing that, the Marimurtra Botanical Garden’s own model.

Language
  • Basic knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is required as the daily activity of the Marimurtra Botanical Garden is done indiscriminately in one of these two languages, so it is very important that the student has a basic notion of at least one of them in order to make the most of their stay in the Garden. Accommodation
  • Please note that Blanes is a tourist town and the availability and prices of accommodation can vary greatly throughout the year. The Carl Faust Foundation has a few accommodation places that are allocated in order of length of stay.
  • If you do not have your own accommodation, the Carl Faust Foundation may offer non-binding contacts to students to manage the accommodation, which in any case will be borne by them.
