{"id":1532,"date":"2021-11-02T13:10:46","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T12:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marimurtra.cat\/tribute-to-francis-halle\/"},"modified":"2021-11-02T13:10:46","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T12:10:46","slug":"tribute-to-francis-halle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marimurtra.cat\/en\/tribute-to-francis-halle\/","title":{"rendered":"Tribute to Francis Hall\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">50th Anniversary of Plant Architecture<\/h2>\n<p>On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first writings of Hall\u00e9 and Oldeman on the architecture of plants, Sello Arboleda and the Carl Faust Foundation (Marimurtra Botanical Garden) present a series of events of homage and recognition to one of the great figures of contemporary botany.<\/p>\n<p>These activities are designed both to disseminate the content of Francis Hall\u00e9&#8217;s research and research among the general public as well as the technical and expert in the field. That is why different types of proposals adapted to different levels of botanical knowledge are offered.<\/p>\n<h5>Activities:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#Expo\">Exposition (12th &#8211; 21st Novembrer &#8211; Free access along in the Marimurtra Botanical Garden.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#Jornada\">Technical conference (13th novembre &#8211; all day)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a id=\"Expo\"><\/a>Exhibition &#8217;50 years of <em>The architecture of plants<\/em><\/h4>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;\">The exhibition, open to all audiences aims to be a tour and tribute to the botanist F. Hall\u00e9 with the excuse of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the book L&#8217;Architecture et la dynamique de growth des arbres tropicaux (Hall\u00e9 &amp; Oldeman) also collecting some of the successes of his professional career in the study of tropical plants and forests.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the explanatory panels include his biography and editorials, focusing on some of his most representative works such as T<em>he canopy pond<\/em>, the film <em>Il \u00e9tait une for\u00eat<\/em> and his new project <em>Pour la for\u00eat primarie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The other panels accompany the visitor in explaining the foundations and principles of plant architecture, as well as the 24 tree models currently defined, and invite you to view some of these models in front of the specimen located in the Marimurtra Botanical Garden .<\/p>\n<p>This exhibition can be seen and visited along the route of the Botanical Garden through a series of explanatory panels located in front of some of the most outstanding tree specimens in Marimurtra.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marimurtra.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ExpoHalleMarimurtra_Triptic.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download the exhibition leaflet in pdf by clicking here<\/a><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%;
