They have been with us for nine months, since October, within the <strong data-start=\"5877\" data-end=\"5912\">\u201cVolunteers for a Green Future\u201d<\/strong> project, funded by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme and coordinated by the German organisation <strong data-start=\"6021\" data-end=\"6042\">Naturkultur, e.V.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6044\" data-end=\"6115\">During these months, they have <strong data-start=\"6075\" data-end=\"6109\">actively participated in tasks<\/strong> of:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"6116\" data-end=\"6510\">\n<li data-start=\"6116\" data-end=\"6173\">\n<p data-start=\"6118\" data-end=\"6173\">Maintenance of the vegetable garden and green spaces.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6174\" data-end=\"6245\">\n<p data-start=\"6176\" data-end=\"6245\">Sustainable conservation and management of <strong data-start=\"6219\" data-end=\"6242\">biological extracts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6246\" data-end=\"6298\">\n<p data-start=\"6248\" data-end=\"6298\">Environmental education and scientific outreach.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6299\" data-end=\"6380\">\n<p data-start=\"6301\" data-end=\"6380\">Observation and care of biodiversity, including <strong data-start=\"6349\" data-end=\"6377\">feeders and birdwatching<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6381\" data-end=\"6510\">\n<p data-start=\"6383\" data-end=\"6510\">Accompaniment to Catalan language courses from the Consorci de Normalitzaci\u00f3 Ling\u00fc\u00edstica (CNL) to facilitate their integration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"6512\" data-end=\"6623\">Their curiosity, enthusiasm and <strong data-start=\"6544\" data-end=\"6563\">desire to learn<\/strong> have been an injection of energy for the team and visitors.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"6625\" data-end=\"6709\">Living experience and cultural exchange<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"6711\" data-end=\"6767\">According to first impressions, they have highlighted:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"6768\" data-end=\"7046\">\n<li data-start=\"6768\" data-end=\"6825\">\n<p data-start=\"6770\" data-end=\"6825\">The <strong data-start=\"6774\" data-end=\"6796\">warmth of the team<\/strong> of gardeners and teamwork.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6826\" data-end=\"6897\">\n<p data-start=\"6828\" data-end=\"6897\">Learning Catalan as a <strong data-start=\"6850\" data-end=\"6873\">tool for connection<\/strong> with the environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6898\" data-end=\"7046\">\n<p data-start=\"6900\" data-end=\"7046\">The complementary activities: yoga classes, canoe trips, beach excursions and meetings with other <strong data-start=\"6998\" data-end=\"7017\">volunteers at a<\/strong> regional and national level.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"7048\" data-end=\"7103\">Continuity and commitment<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"7105\" data-end=\"7313\">This project marks the <strong data-start=\"7128\" data-end=\"7165\">sixth participation of Marimurtra<\/strong> in the ESC programme (the fifth with German volunteers), consolidating a programme born in 2019 and receiving more than <strong data-start=\"7286\" data-end=\"7312\">90 annual applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"7315\" data-end=\"7347\">Thank you, Vianne and Melina!<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"7349\" data-end=\"7738\">They have left an <strong data-start=\"7367\" data-end=\"7389\">unforgettable mark<\/strong> at the Garden, contributing to improving the <strong data-start=\"7435\" data-end=\"7464\">conservation and outreach<\/strong> of the space, bringing a fresh perspective and promoting <strong data-start=\"7522\" data-end=\"7544\">cultural exchanges<\/strong> with the team and visitors. At the same time, they had the opportunity to live by the Mediterranean Sea and to discover <strong data-start=\"7665\" data-end=\"7683\">Blanes and the<\/strong> local culture, fully integrating into our environment.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"7740\" data-end=\"7777\">What comes next?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"7779\" data-end=\"7973\">In October we will welcome <strong data-start=\"7806\" data-end=\"7824\">new volunteers<\/strong> and continue this programme that enriches both the Garden and those who do the volunteering.
